Concord Friends Meeting

Seeking: Youth Leader opening

We are looking for a responsible, caring, and Christian adult to lead our youth program. See a brief job description below. If interested, please email resume and details to pastor@concordfriends.com.

Responsibilities are as follows:

  1. Facilitate activities for youth of the church.

  2. Plan and schedule regular meetings for times to develop spiritually.

  3. Encourage participation in regular church business and meetings for worship through active participation and scheduled events.

  4. Develop or purchase devotional material for group studies that is relevant, timely and Biblically sound.

  5. Plan and develop trips to encourage fellowship, teamwork, and spiritual growth. Examples might be weekend trips to the beach, mountains, lake or snow skiing.

  6. Encourage missionary concern and activity through work with Mission groups offering summer, weeklong, practical hands-on opportunities.

  7. Regular attendance and participation in meeting activities. Also encourage participation in youth activities sponsored by FCNC.

     Science Hill Friends Meeting is a country church located in Asheboro, North Carolina, near the beautiful ancient Uwharrie mountains. We’re seeking a full-time pastor who is comfortable in a rural setting and is called to minister to all age groups, provide solid Biblical teachings, and share practical applications to everyday life. Our present Meeting House dates from July 1894 and was built from heart-of-pine logs donated by the first Friends. Now, as then, we’re known for our simplicity, sincerity and loving kindness.  If you're interested in this position, we would love to talk with you.
